I think you should get those pentas recapped and readjusted! I remember seeing pictures here of a near exploded penta amp power supply that had a buzz and the owner had just kept using it. Your buzz and the pop when you use the light might indicate a PSU running on its last bit of legs. Maybe Dillen can supply a

Thank you very much! I have ordered a new top panel (or I think so, these B&O dealers aren't very fast to respond to emails!). One more quick question; I think the MMC2 on my Beogram 7000 have seen better days. When it's at its recommended stylus pressure, I have to have my finger on it for the sound to be good. When I turn up the stylus

Thanks for the insight! I bought the speakers and they arrived today - the scratch is much less visible in real life than in the photos! One of the top panels got a dent in transit though, but that's life I guess... BUT! One of the amps makes a bzzzzzing noise when turned on. It's not there when the amp is cold - it comes on after a few hours
I have got V.Aux shown on the Beo4, and pressing Go lights the two "stereo" sound lights, but unfortunately there is no response from the Eco Zapbox. Perhaps a further command is required? Villarsch
Try pressing the number 2 after you have pressed Go!
but Im sure the LX2500 should respond to either v.tape v.tape 2 v.aux or v.aux2.
Nope! Because the LX2500 and LX2800 were not sold with the Beolink 1000, they were sold with the V terminal . So there were no V.TAPE button! There are 3 AUX inputs on those sets: 1 is the audio input from a stereo, 2 is the Scart

V.tape etc. won't work on an LX2500. The right sequence to open up the scart is <shift> <TV> <2> on Beolink 1000. If you have a Beo4 I believe you must press V.AUX <2>. You get V.AUX by pressing <LIST> until the display reads V.AUX and then press <GO>. If V.AUX is not in the <LIST>-list, you must add it

I am actually trying to work out why I can't remotely turn my main computer off using my laptop at the moment. Can turn on using WOL but not off! Any network heads around?
Well, you can't. WOL is implemented completely in hardware, while shutdown is a function of your OS
