  • Re: Loosing my religion - an update

Has anyone ever wondered what a setup would be like with BeoLab 7-4 as a centre, front L/R and back L/R all wallmounted. The technical info seems o.k to handle this. Think it would be cool if B&O offered a speaker package of BL7-4's with BL2 at a slight discount (I know that will never happen!) even make floor stands for them, just like when

  • Re: @David (or another Aussie)

The unit is not $25,950. BV7-40 price includes the BL and stand.

In Australia the BV7 comes with the SS kit as standard and although terestrial tv is pal i think you would find the frequencies to be different. Foxtel is the Cable network, they broadcast NFL and Sky Digi in the set top box controller list controls it with the Beo4 or Beo5. The unit sells around AU$18,000.

You're so right Alex! So many high end, lifestyle products are re-branded with there own software and so forth. It's just a matter of how well it's done, pulling the ballance of a great product, getting the best resources together. Look at the plasma/LCD market, there are only a handfull of panel makers (Plasma and LCD) but hundred of brands

  • Re: BV9 v Pioneer Kuro(8G series) ?

My brother has a BeoSystem 3 with Pioneer 1080p (BV9 obviously has BS3 also) screen and must agree that the colours are a little over the top. However the picture movement is fine by my assessment. Thing I dont like is the integration aspect, use of a diffrent remote to turn sreen on. also screen will not change to light conditions as will on BV9, the

  • Re: Anybody that can help: 7-40 / BC2 functionality

Connecting BL9's straight to BC2 or through BV7-40 will not make difference to the sound. It's simply information being sent to the speaker as the cross overs and amps are in the speaker so there is not loss of sound. BL9's to BV7-40 is the correct way. Have fun. Funny when I first replied there was no replies at all. Now a whole thread

1.) Digi out on BC2 is for BeoLab 5's or fully digital speakers. 2.) BV7-40 should be connected to BC2 via master link and powerlink straight to BV7-40, with MX you will need a masterlink spliter that will allow you to use more than one masterlink item. This will communicate the three items and send sound between the three. V.opt 2 for BV7 and A

More so with a 5.1 setup, with a stereo setup BL9's can hold there own. Do a test with and with out, what ever sounds best to you i say.

If you really wanted to use BL9's i'm sure you can get them shielded. Ask your local service dept. The distance should be ok but if you use the motor stand and turn the screen it might face some problems.
