I have a BeoCord 5000, which I purchased as faulty. As expected, the belts had melted, so I've replaced them (thank you, Dillen). Everything now seems to work, except that the tape plays at too high a speed, and with a fair bit of audible flutter. The tape drive has a 12V motor, which is currently supplied with 13.8 V, but that seems to accord with

Can I use the STB-C in a non-RF Avant VCR to control two STBs, or is this only possible in RF and DVD versions of the Avant? More particularly, I want to use the STB-C to control a satellite receiver on the "decoder" input, rather than the AV-AUX input. This is to make the interface more wife-friendly, and so is a high-priority job! Mark

Having invested in Masterlink to allow me to distribute signals from my Avant around the house, initial tests are disappointing.
