I've been experimenting with the 5dmarkII this summer on a few professional film jobs. It's terrible to work with as a video camera but it still produces unbelievably good results. Ironically I've been using it exclusively with Nikon lenses with an adaptor. I'm thinking about buying a second body. I've almost bought a RED camera
anyone shed any light on this?
Only IR. My guess is that it's simply the way the BS3 was originally designed (pre BV7). Being that most people (in traditional BS3 setups) use an external Eye in the system room only and you can't use two operating eye's (Including the built-in eye on the BV7) in the
That the Apple TV remote is to complex
That is a lame excuse because they obviously DID get fast scrolling to work. To their credit, however, the apple remote codes are near impossible to reverse engineer. I remember trying to get fast scrolling to work with my Lintronic and all the crazy things you had to do to
Don't mess with the remotes, just implement a configuration option in the TVs that will make a TV command select DTV. It's just TV after all. I wrestled with this issue as well. My particular Bluray set up in the main room only required a small delay setting of 04. That is within a realistic margin to simply set the delay to 0 and enjoy phase free audio throughout the house. Most people unfortunately require much higher delay settings which I know can be frustrating when using link rooms

By "jams" do you mean that it turns and then locks or do you mean that it feels like it is dragging or scraping against another component. If it is dragging, than this is most likely due to the surrounding buttons (between the aluminum and the wheel) not sitting properly due to tension of the internal rubber seal pushing them against the wheel

Thanks k984942 for the empathy. It's always appreciated. The Beo5 is certainly an odd item in the B&O line up which is why I think it deserved it's own forum in the first place. I didn't expect that many people would be aware of any hardware reset/diagnostic so it didn't surprise me that there may not be much feedback. Seeing that

I'll take it that the answer is no. I've got it unplugged and will leave it for a week to see if having the battery fully drain might help.
