From what I've heard and read & noticed.. In order to make the BL11 shine it's crucial to have the setup correct. Activate the subwoofer in the Sound menu (in an AV situation.. very often forgotten!!!!); and have the correct dip-switches on the bottom of the BL11. Connect it to the Subwoofer PL in a surround setup Or connect BeoLab speakers
When I touched the BL11 I could feel tiny vibrations but could see no movement. I was playing Norah Jones and some Muse.
That's normal. Due to the construction of the BL11 the vibrations are canceled out :-) perfect for apartements :-) Even when playing Daft Punk the BL11 almost does not vibrate.. But produces

Is the BL11 really that bad?
Yes. Waste of money IMHO
Dimitris, we already know your opinionabout the BL11; my experience (after 6months) is complete the opposite. Have BL8000 and the BL11 had added a lot more detail and bass to my setup. Had a BL2 on loan from my
Besides, when it comes to "whow" factor, I really don't get that from an iPod Touch or iPhone. Beo5/6 are nice devices... but don't have

Oasis & Chris Connecting a USB Sound device will not deactivate all sound on the internal soundcard. In OSX you can dictate which/where sounds get played. Go to System Preferences -> Sound There you can specify that Sound Effects get played through the iMacs's internal speakers. In Output you can specify where all the other sounds/music get

Indeed... unfortunately... it's the only decent way to get the music to my Ouverture

I think the 160x160 icons are for the Beo6... (just a guess though..)

It's not DRM related... happens also with music bought from the iTunes Music Store... At first I thought that my speakers were damaged.. But later on I found out that it only happened when playing music through the Airport Express. Not via the STB, radio, tv or DVD

Have exactly the same problem with certain tracks when playing through the Airport Express connected to my Ouverture. Music is ripped lossless but produces cracking sound (mostly in the lower frequencies).. when I play the original CD.. no cracking sounds..
