Great, thanks I'll check out the insides of the one that's rattelling - it was hearing Tims when he reapired a friends TV that made me dig them out and am now listening to them all the time - I think I need the 4400 receiver next. Best Wishes Andrew

Hi I heard that there is someone called Axle or something like that, that can recondition B&O Cartridges and that this is cheaper than soundsmith - does anyone have contact details and prices or website details?

I have some Beovox S75 and they are hooked up as reqar speakers to my Avant/BS3000 setup via an old Hitachi Amp. They sound amazing and in fact in some ways I prefer the sound to the BL4000 that act as fronts. I use them a lot for music with Speakers 4 turned on and their volume turned up. The only problem is that there is a slight almost like rattle

Hi - yes, Ihave one of these and use it to control my ipod which is V.Mem - hadn't thought about usingit to do Speaker 4 when switching to V.Mem - will try that tonight as it will save a lot of hassle - thinking it through maybe it could also turn the brightness down on the TV

Yes, I use the scart solution to control my iPod in an Onkyo docking station with OSD - works really well and I get control from all link rooms. You could get a STB-C card fitted to your BV3 to control your STB and use the lintronic box for the DVD controlled through the SCART?

I remember getting Beolab 8000's after having RL60s and thought the lab8's were terrible, now I think they're fantastic - just a matter of getting used to the different sound. I am still amazed though at my friends Beolab Pentas being fed with a Beomaster 5500 and iPod - sounds very full and punchy

I would try changing the SCART cable. I recently bought a long length, supposedly high quality cable on e-bay and the picture was terrible with dots and stuff similar to how you have described - if the cable is dud then it won't matter what the source is. Do you get the same problem on analogue or VCR - if this is the case then it's something
-
Hi - I've justbought one of these on e-bay and absolutely love it - I'd seen a couple of pictures on this site and had to have one. The sound on it when I plug my iPod in is extremely good, however on FM the receiver seems very weak at picking up signals - I tried a longer peice of wire plugged into the socket and this meant I could start to

Sorry - you are right - darn, I just started another thread on music - apoligies to all

In the same vain as my video thread,I'd be interested to know what your favourite audio recordings are and the format they're in. To kick off and to prove a point mine are French stuff from the 1950's and american musicals - Vinyl Petula Clake / Ray Conniffe - Vinyl from 1960's Demis Rousios/ Nane Mouskouri / Vicky Leandros / Abba -
