I think this is more of a design question, as both speakers have a very similar spec and performance. Personally, I love the BL7.4 and would stick to that. The BL10 is still having to grow on me.

On the whole I agree with most comments here and would thoroughly support Trip's idea of having two different levels of spec for the BeoSystem 3, with the more expensive one being specialised for home cinema

Hi Roger, Unlike other B&O speakers, don't forget that each BeoLab 5 speaker has its own serial number as a pair are not set with the same pin code. You must try and source the first owner of the speakers and from which B&O dealer they were bought. With this information B&O will be much more willing to help you.
