with the beovision 7, 8 and 9 it's time they concentrated on audio more rather than visual hardware or perhaps combining the two in an elegant way.

a 2 way remote really? now that does sound very tempting? my mind is boggling with ideas on how it work and what a pleasure it would be. i think that b&o's idea of it being purely hands-on is a bit short-sighted. i suppose it's just great rumour and nothing from b&o yet? thanks peter, yes i will ensure it has audible feedback.

yes, of course there will be software updates just as there were for the Bs9000 and the Bc2 the only difference being that they are done whilst the unit is connected but they all underwent hardware revisions didn't they... i'm just trying to grasp what realistic/constructive hardware updates people forsee and whether it's worth waiting for

i will probably trade in my Bs9000 for a dealer's ex-demo Bc2 (only a few months old for 10& discount) in the next few weeks. an attractive package with DVD, CD, Mp3, FM, DAB all in one in an elegant wrap... then in 2-3 years buy the latest Bs5 at the time. the Bc2 will go upstairs to the study or bedroom coupled to a TV to make a complete AV

jk100 2 a new head unit? what makes you say that? is it a rumour or from a proper b&o source. like a lot of people here i am not convinced by the looks of the head unit myself - it is too small... as i mentioned in another reply reminds some of my friends of a fancy light control or central heating control panel... it looks so anorexic on the floor

i can see that a few of you have made the jump from the beosound 9000 to the beosound 5. it's functioning is impressive and i agree it enters the digital era better than anything else out there. i hate the way the ipod has multiple options that you have to navigate to and fro through. i think trip described it as getting lost in rooms branching

b&o are known for their design around the world but 5 years 'design' and all they can come up with a black box and a dial embedded into it...??
