DVD1's are fine when they don't have the picture freeze problem. B&O integration worth a lot but they were (along with the V8000) vastly overpriced. Beolink 1000 is better for teletext functions on earlier TV's. It also has the advantage of been able to toggle between audio and video volume and mute control without using the source buttons

[quote user="macjonny1"] I think the problem with the TVs is that the technology is rapidly evolving. What is being used today will of course still work in 5 years and look the same, but technology will have advanced by a large degree. The audio components however are not evolving quite as fast. Many of us enjoy vintage gear (for myself my

...And the lack of a motorized positioner - picked up by the reviwer. This is a must have for my room after the LX and Avant. I hope they are working on a solution to this.

The LX manual is on the B&O site but doesn't cover the 5500 version. It's available on the Beoworld site to members. If you assign a scart to CDV compact disc video (DVD) press shift>sat to access. Vtape 2 it will be shift>vtape. Sat and vtape have their own source buttons. David

I notice the Ipod dock is in there but no mention of the Microsoft Zune. Perhaps the XBox has the same codes? David

Is there a reason why an S Video source viewed via a phono/svideo to scart adapter should display in black and white only? I am trying to view this through an Avant MK2 scart input and distribute the picture on Beolink. If I use the camcorder S Video connection I get a colour picture but cannot access it from a link room. Thanks for any advice David

Agree. I would miss PiP too. Thanks to Peter for the helpful review. Any replacement for the Avant for me has to have as good or better stand-alone sound so BV10 can be discounted. I have LX tv's also and know just how good these sound. A BV7 - 40 will be my replacement a few years down the line unless that is B&O make a larger BV6 (my favourite

[quote user="Chrisreunion"] We all know Lifestyle AV & Lee's dedication to B&O, but has anyone tried the "other" website that sells second-life B&O stuff? I discovered it when browsing on the Internet, they are based in UK and have different products, but no pictures unfortunately. Has anyone ordered something from

Hi Dermot, Both great TV's! If the LX is connected via scart you first need to 'assign' each socket to the correct access button on the remote control. To do this press TV then MENU. Using the up/down and << >> buttons you can select SAT on whichever scart you have your digibox plugged into (AV1 or AV2), then press PLAY to store
