Nice bio. Considering he may be at the helm in the future, I would also be interested in hearing what he has to say.

Gruss Gott Heribert; This sounds very familiar. We experienced that issue 4 years ago in one upstairs bedroom. Checked ML junction box (no), checked the ML cable (not clear), pulled a new run of ML cable (no), and finally pulled everything apart and reconnected. Continued problem. The problem was corrected with a replacement of the Beoport, which turned

The store in Paris is excellent on the other hand, with a professional, helpful staff. Tony: Let me know how it goes with your BS 4 software upgrade. Bon Chance.

TWG; Having very thick, solid masonry walls, I thought Beolink wireless was the right answer to a full B&O system in 8 rooms. With the exception of my local B&O store salesman who ordered all the units for us, it wasn't . The problems mentioned above are very accurate. We also experienced " snap, crackle, and pop " on a regular

Teletom; A good question. Not played CD much since the Beosound 4 purchase, and the one we did use to test it was a CD-R of downloaded music. I'll try a few of store purchased CD's and let you know how they sound. I would say we spend the majority of time using N.RADIO, then N.MUSIC, followed by SD card music. We have a few good FM stations

Soren; Sorry to hear about your experience in Mexico. Are you trying to install that part yourself ?

The sonic resonance from the bookshelf placement is derived from the fact that the BL 4000 speaker sound is now contained, concentrated, and directed or focused out. Amplified inside a box, if you will. One of the original B&O advertisements had a gold pair placed this way, in a relatvely small room. My concern, despite the Alps, was always heat

Major; The excellent description above by Tournedos could not have been better stated. On the subject of transformers, I use one per B&0 device, on the premise that if a device or transformer goes down, the remaining do not suffer the same fate. By the way these are BL 4000 speakers, and not an easy conversion like a simple jumper relocation in

Ohayo Gazaimasu Mike; We use transformers with three B&O pieces for the North American market. The rest of the system is normal European 220-240V, at least normal to us. Wattage: You are correct. Each transformer should be HIGHER in rating than each device. Better to error on the side of MUCH higher, rather than slightly higher. B&O is accurate

Suspended frame wall unit, with 9 cabinets, bolt-attached to the wall. The wall unit incorporates sliding panels, which in our case were then cut with holes to accomodate first a Beosound 3200, and now recently a Beosound 4, BL 4000 pair, and the usual masterlink, PC, mains & aux cables. Flatscreen is also suspended onto the same wall, using two
