Is it possible to edit the text on the display? I use the Beo4 to control blinds and air conditioning through Lintronic

Hi Beobres, I have mounted my bs3 on the back of my AV cabinet, not sure about the heat as it wasn't realy a concern to me. The wires exit out the back, each side of the unit (out the bottom for wall mount) I have intergrated all my av gear into the BS3, Pioneer Plasma, Sony digital STB, Playstation3, Beocenter2. The control is all through my Beo4

Yes, internally but as i have said earlier it is possible to control (limited) the PS3 with IR via USB interface.

I mentioned in a thread a few days ago that i have my PS3 working with IR control. There is an OEM remote and base available which is connected to the PS3 via one of the USB ports. Mine is working well with my Beo4 using a Lintronic box, so it is possible although the functions available are limited to the basics. I hope in time that this will be expanded

I have used the wall mount bracket mounted on the back side of a cabinet that houses my other equipment and has my plasma sitting on top. As you are probably aware, the cables all exit through the bottom of the BS3, if you are directing them back into the wall they would probably only be visible if you were right down looking under the device. Have you considered the Beocenter 2 as your DVD player. I am using this with the Beosystem 3 and it is fantastic. You also do not require an upscaling DVD player if you are going through the BS3 as it will do all the upscalling for you.

OK this poses a dilemma for me as I have just set-up with 2 x BL4000’s, 1 either side of a 50” plasma. I was advised that these should do just as good of a job as the 7.2 would, now I will have to consider an upgrade after 1 month,,, hmmmmm. Is the 7.2 really that much better?

Precisely my thinking and action. I couldn't be happier all is working well.

purchased an aftermarket stand that connects via usb and has a ir receiver + remote. All working ok but has limited control. Can't turn the system on/off but can select menu, play, stop, pause, rewind, fastforward s after turning on and putting the movie in, all can now be controlled with the Beo4

Beonut, Thanks for your input. I am using a free to air HD STB and it occurs every change and unrelated to the sound encoding. I am guessing that the BS3 is losing signal and re-gaining may cause it to switch. The biggest disturbance is the loud relay's in the BL4000's. Hope i can find a solution. Thanks,
