  • Re: Correct Torx Drivers

Hey Derek, Even though we're in the US, practically all the tools available at Home Depot, Lowes, and Sears are available in both metric and imperial, unless in your area things are different from where I am. For about $10, those stores should have a 5-piece torx driver set, with sizes T10, T15, T20, T25, and T30. Practically all B&O items use

When you say you removed the base cover, does that mean you haven't removed the top section? Turn off and unplug the player with the mirrored panel raised. Look at the two hinges where the panel's attached. There will be indentations above the hinge arms. Slide a tiny screwdriver tip into that indentation, underneath the hinge arm to lift it

  • Re: Redline question

I once saw a guy selling ones on ebay he had made from plastic. I didn't think they looked that great. If I was in your situation Craig, I think I'd just try to look for a strip of aluminum sheet metal in the correct width, and wrap them around yourself. If you can't find it in the correct width then I'd try asking a local machine shop

  • Re: Ice power not quite there yet.

Mr10Percent: ....so I doubt it has nothing to do with blasting a single 1000w (max!) into 4 ohms into a 3-way design. ....so I doubt that it has nothing to do with the crossover arrangement. ....so I doubt it has nothing to do with anything other than the amp itself? ....or is it that it just has B&O pressed onto the side? ....or is it the cables

I haven't had a chance to hear Hypex modules yet, but many class-d aficionados consider them to be ahead of the ICEpower amps. If I was in the market for a set of class D amps, I'd probably go with them over Ice.

  • Re: Beo5 - what a piece of junk.

Guzzler: Alex: Is item 170231211945 definitely your Beo5? If so, no wonder it didn't work... Lost me there mate - bit like the bloody remote I guess! Copy and paste that number into ebay search and see what comes up.

  • Re: Who made the best buy on a used Bang & Olufsen gear???

9 LEE: Well - it would not be professional to say what i come across in the course of my business, but i can honestly say real bargains don't happen that often as people nearly always have a good idea what their kit is worth. However, i was at a customers house the other day buying some equipment and they mentioned a brand new, boxed BeoLink 7000
