Hollis hit on the method...so many many thanks for the lead and direction. I wish I knew how this stuff works but eventually B&O of Manchester (Russ Chew) came up with a workable solution for my parents BV7-40:- Within the DVBT menu go into setup and options and perform a "Reinstall All" in options but before any channels have tuned press

Asud, I may have mis-interpreted you reply but you seem have missed the process:- Rip everything to WMP10 or 11 if you are a windows user (I cant help if you are using a Mac/iTunes). Edit tags as you see fit. Scan your editing PC with WMP scan (forgot to mention this). Close WMP and open Beoplayer. Scan all. Connect the BM5 drive to your editing PC
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plasma_speaker
Nice Wiki reference...but do you seriously expect me to believe were going to get some up-tempo dance-electronica throbbing out of a high-voltage arc across a couple of wires (or an arc-gas stream)? I'm sure it can screetch a high frequency tune or two but does

I think there has been a policy change here. Either it is seen as not practical anymore, costs too much to install or to maintain or whatever... Perhaps too many Mastercodes were being issued and undermined the value of the PIN. So the BV10, BV8 and BS/BM5 are not PIN coded. Looks like a trend. 10%
Only 2 replies? This should get more attention, especially on here... This is beyond cool.
OK. Im sure I can get a couple of wires to arc-up while playing music on my Alba ghetto-blaster. To add extra refinement and be clever :- add a microphone linked to a potentiometer and vary the voltage potential +/-1

Asud, Simply arrange your music the way you wish in your editing PC (in terms of file structure). I would suggest you use WMP10 or 11 to edit the tags as you see fit. Once all is OK, simply scan using Beoplayer. Transfer the files to the BM5 "Music" directory and scan again. (something in the Beoplayer scanning generates a hidden/system file

Asud, With all due respect your kinda vague - it is very difficult to imagine exactly what you have done and what the ultimate output it is that you are recieving in terms of music structure, tags, pictures etc... that you do not like. I have assumed that you have ripped 20 CD's in your PC and transferred them to the BM5 "Music" directory

May be I'm just a little bit too conservitive but I'm worried..... I mean, people on this forum are trying to run programs and files on what B&O has clearly stated is a BeoSound/Beomaster i.e. a MUSIC machine. People are expecting this to work in ways it was never intended nor designed to do. Adding additional programs into the Windows background

STY, Try thi:- 1. Ensure the Dig Out of the BM5 goes to the "In" Dig connection on one BS5. 2. Same for the 2nd BL5, Dig Out BL5-1 to Dig In BL5-2 3. Connect your Powerling cables BM5 -> BL5-1 -> BL5-2 in the usual way. select appropriate L/R channels (not line). 4. Audiomaster YES/NO on BeoSound 5 must be set to NO in this setup. 5
