Sounds like the i-Pod will be the direction to go. You are correct Peter, the BS is not controlled by the Beo 4. What about the I-Pod? Roger

Well count me as one of the last to join the portable MP-3 players crowd. I am looking in to purchasing our first player and have narrowed it down to two, the Beosound 6 and the i-Pod touch.(I know two totally different players but they are my choices) I love our local B&O store but I don't want to abuse them in seeking advice on non-B&O

I just recently acquired a US Beocom 3. The phone is in excellent condition and everything appears to function with one exception and that is the speaker phone "speaker". I have the speaker phone volume cranked up all the way and it is not nearly as loud as my Beocom 2500, which is not a true speaker phone. The previous owner indicates this

diggs2701, Congrats on your success! To clarify, you were able to connect your turntable directly to the Beosystem 1 via SAT connection and not through the music system? Thanks, Roger
-
Russ R, Can a turntable be hooked into the Beosystem 1? I thought it had to go directly to the stereo-audio main such as the BS 9000 or 3200 via pre-amp. My BS 1 and BS 9000 are too far apart geographically and the BS 1 location offers more convenience for connecting a tuntable w/ pre-amp. Thanks, Roger

"Again comparing any other LCD to a BV7 is like comparing apples and oranges, no Samsung, Sharp, Sony etc LCD has the picture processing capabilities, the sound processing capabilities, the ability to run a projector. Look at this way, here in the US a BS 3 is about $7,800, a BL7-4 is about $3800, the stand $1000 for a total of about $12,600. Total

Wow, he didn't sell it for $1,875 (U.S.), so he re-listed for $1,900. I tend to go overboard when it comes to unique B&O items, but I would definitely pass on this one. Especially when it's impossible to determine if this thing is from the Lewis or Jensen era. Roger

"If I'm not mistaken BeoCom 6000 (US) and BeoCom 1 (US) cannot share chargers - Com 1 has slightly different connector." The Beocom 6000 can use the Beocom 1 chargers, but not the other way around.

Razlaw, Switching out the BL-1's with the 6000's is a good idea, will eliminate the BL-1's as the culprit. By the way, you have too many speaker choices in your household! (is my jealousy showing? ) May the correct solution be the cheapest as well! Good luck Roger

Razlaw, We view our 50" BV-4 from, 12 feet, would not want it any closer. Was viewing a 40-inch from same distance and it was a strain at times. To me if there is too much open space (wall) around screen it's hard to watch IMHO. Good luck. Roger
