Hi, We're moving from UK to Oz later this year and, as far as I can remember from the old forum, UK beocoms won't work over there - is this the case? We have 2 beocom 6000s with a PSTN base. If we got a UK to Australia phone socket adapter would they just not work at all, work but not show caller ID etc or work 100% and I've just got it

That would explain it - thanks Peter. I guess the fix you refer to is for the hum (which I don't have) not the unwired display pin?

My beolab 4500s don't display connected to my PC2 (masterlinked to bs3200) but do when connected directly to the bs3200 - ?they need to be connected directly to an audiomaster to function - have you tried connecting directly to your bs3000 before you start dismantling them? Jasper

Looks like a good buy to me - assuming they make some noise. Most (?all) the fake Chinese ones I've seen (and bought a pair - not bad) have silver end caps and darker writing on them. Dylan
