Band of Horses - The Great Salt Lake. Excellent track :)

I thought about that before posting but in my little world vintage B&O has wooden panels ;)

I really liked the 5000/5500/6500/7000 forum and find it sad that threads about those systems drown out in the general forum. Pleeeeeeease.

Hi Robert, I have already sent Ulf Kiener an email. It is in English, though. If German is required I can manage. Do you know if Ulf is a current Beoworld user? Thanks, Ben

I have aqquired a CD5500 with some small fault that are probably easily repaired. However, I would like [someone more skilled than myself] to turn it into a DVD5500. I also have a Kiss DP-1500 with a built-in IR converter so that it responds to the B&O IR codes. If you have the skills to transfer the insides of this unit to the CD5500 chassis please

Looks very promising. It would be nice in white and with the steel pipes in matte finish - a little more subtle.

The easiest way, I think, would be to buy an Apple Airport Express base. You will then also need a cable with 3.5 mm jackplug to 5-pin DIN male. The base is a wireless router and a USB printer terminal as well. From personal experience it works extremely well and is very easy to set up.

Peter: I am surprised that the EN copes with the tracking or the rear channels in CD4 records. The CL certainly can though, as Kevin says, the suspensions will harden and this ability reduces. This was frequently mentioned in the old forum as well but is there really any concrete proof regarding hardened suspension? I have purchased a number of cartridges

They should definitely make some silver ones. Maybe like B&O have a distinction in color depending on which end of the range is in question. Personally, as I have two CL's, I'm not going to need a new cartridge anytime soon but when I do need one I would be happy to purchase a silver Soundsmith.
