Welcome to Beoworld ! Sorry for asking but you have puoshed in the speaker switch(es), right ? Checked the balance control ? Martin

Ricahrd, welcome to Beoworld ! The tuning voltage zener diode sits in a holder bolted to the rear facing side of the tuner frontend metal casing. It has thermal coupling in the form of heatsink paste (compound) to keep its temperature, and with it its voltage, stabile. Clean off the remains of the hardened and cracked paste and add fresh. What is it, you would like to replace on that board ? I suggest you check the tracking circuit and related mech. as mentioned above. Martin
-
Sounds like something in the tracking circuit went wrong. Either the lamp/sensor/interrupter (loose on the spindle ?) assy at the foot of the carriage or some electronics on the main board related to the tracking. The fingerwheel trimmers losing contact is a wellknown problem. Well done ! Martin

B&G, I believe, as in Bing & Groendahl. Not B&O, I'm sure. Martin

The platter on these decks will almost always wobble a bit if pushed by hand. It was always like that, even from new. B&O's platter spindle bearings are generally of very good quality and it shouldn't wobble when playing, obviously. Martin
-
All original pickup cartridges bear the B&O logo. And that goes for the inner (coil) part as well as the outer (needle) part. No B&O logo = not original. There were countless manufacturers of more or less suitable cartridges and needles, some could be combined with B&O parts, others not. Some were surprisingly good, others eh.. not quite

Nice buy ! Beolit 41; Hard to value but probably 3-400 euros for a mint one. Let's see a photo of the dial, if possible. Martin

Good job ! But don't use WD40 in anything B&O. Keep it in the garage, it's good for losening rusty bolts on old cars. You would know why if you'd seen what I have seen in turntables etc. Take the things apart and clean them. WD40 does not remove dirt, it just shifts it about and may even add to the mess. If anything needs lubricating
