  • Re: Bang & Olufsen Ealing vs Riots

I am extremely sad to hear about King Street. Please let us know when you are up and trading again - I for one will be buying something - maybe a Beocom 5.

  • Re: Beolab 4 vs. Beolab 4000

Wall mount 4000s and they have plenty of bass. They are very flexible speakers - when you go round Struer, you will see 4000s all over the place.

  • Re: Newbie on site, I feel like a child once again

Quite a difference as pointed out between Beovox and Beolab Pentas. If there is a grey box at the base, it is a lab. A Beovox is easy to connect - two pin DIN speakers cables are all you need.

  • Re: What's in the box?

Chris was correct - a 1200. Very nice looking receiver but sounds the best through Beovox 1200s. Have to confess to being underwhelmed by the sound of either individually, but they work wonderfully together.

Looks like an older Beomaster. The box would suggest 70s/early 80s. Maybe a 2000?

  • Re: Come on!

Axel really is superb - he has done a few cartridges for me and he workmanship is superb. I agree with Graham - you get what you pay for. Frede restores the Beolab 5000 system and asks a good but completely fair price. To get a Beogram working properly requires care and attention. The problem is that you see Beograms on eBay, much as you see Beolab

They look in good condition. Definitely worth fixing!

  • Re: Beocord 5000 4716 help

That is the user manual - the service manual is obviously very technical and has circuit diagrams and some maintenance instructions. It has instructions for disassembly, though these are somewhat optimistic!

  • Re: Beocord 5000 4716 help

This is possibly the most complex piece of B&O you can find! It is also the only B&O cassette deck with a true B&O mechanism. My old dealer used to repair all my old equipment but he drew the line at the Beocord 5000 as he said simply opening it always revealed more faults. The service and user manuals are on side - the user manual is a

  • Re: Beosound 5 Encore is here...

This site exists for people interested in B&O. The official site serves as a marketing tool - this one allows for discussion and criticism. Criticism is not bad - B&O appreciate reasoned debate and I think this site gives it. If all that is said is how wonderful everything is, I am sure B&O would never bother looking. However criticism from
