Hi, I bought a music fidelity V-Dac and connected it to the iMac via USB and then from there to the Beoport. The sound from the BL6000 directly connected to the power link socket of Beoport is significantly better now. More Bass, more "POWER". The sound from the ML connected Beovision 8-32 did not improve. No hearable update from Beoport.

Understand. But what about the ATV1 which is connected to 8-32 via analog connection? Is the DAC in ATV1 so much better? Cannot believe this.

I would agree if not the internal DAC of ATV1 is also much better than Beoport. Equalizer was off in all cases.

Beoport connected to ML net BV8-40 with Apple Tv2 BV8-32 with Apple Tv1 BS3200 next to the 8-40 BL2000 I use Beoport for distribution of N.Music throughout my house. The sound is OK but sounds thin. I also did a test view at my dealer. Picture is great with this B&O 3D DVD. But I think the googles are looking cheap and ugly. Further I have the impression that 55" is still not big enough for a 3d TV. I was sitting approx. 2,5m away. Anyway in 2D it is the best set you can get at the moment.

If the music is on your pc you need a Beoport. Beomedia has it's own music library. Not sure you can also stream music from your pc.

It seems B&O really wants to differentiate the both BS5 versions and keep the BM5 selling. Do not think it is a good way to not allow basic functions like two way remote or high quality audio codecs - it is still a quite expensive product. Better would be to add some official video playback function to really give additional value or real Internet

I would not use Masterlink cables anymore. Use CAT7 cabling with RJ45 sockets and RJ45 to ML connectors and you are much more future proof.
