I suppose Frede (Beoworld member Classic) would be the one to ask.
There's absolutely no reason why an iPod shouldn't port perfect digital OUT, which Wadia realized when they made this unit: http://www.stereophile.com/digitalprocessors/1008wad/# Connecting BL5s to the analog minijack out of an iPod is silly, since you'd then be using the DAC in the iPod. • Re: Beogram 8000 'vs Beogram 8002
I have 3 MMC-2s and an MMC-1 for my 8002s. I also have a Yamaha PX-2 linear tracker with AT 440mla and Adcom hi output MC with Van den Hul stylus. The AT is much hotter/harsher than the others despite it's current cult status . The Adcom sounds the best, but all 3 MMC-2s are close to it but have a lusher warmth
Relative to performance and productivity, Mac's are not expensive, tournedos. B&O takes a premium within A/V; Apple does so within personal computing. Critics who don't know the Apple experience consider them overpriced.
soundproof is right, apple products are not that expensive instead of the

  • Re: Beomaster 5000 & Beolab 5000 Wanted

you're welcome, john... you'll enjoy the incredible sound of this amp. a must-have in every b&o collection... ;-) the recommended speakers are some beovox 5000/2500 cubes or a beovox 3000/2500 cube combo. my beolab 5000 works pretty well with some restored beovox 2400/2500 cubes, thanks to dillen and frede for the professional support. peter

  • Re: Beocenter 9500 or 2500 for my father?

hi steve, i would go for the beocenter 9500 with a beolink 7000 incl. floorstand. with these setup you can use the 2-way remote system of the beocenter. if you don't need the 2-way-gimmick i would recommend the beocenter 9000. the alu-parts are also not so "bling-bling"... ;-) anyway, both of them are iconic and one of the last true jacob
