• Beocenter 7700 7007 7000 wood trim interchangable?

Hi all, I'm thinking of buying a beocenter 7700 to drive my new M100's. Unfortunately, I have seen only white trim bc7700's so far here in the Netherlands! Is the trim from the 7000 series music centers interchangable so I could use a rosewood trim from any 7*** on the 7700 to match the rosewood M100's? Thanks in advance!

  • Re: Beovox M100/M100.2 supertweeter versions?

Update: I found a more detailed picture: http://img.muare.vn/tuandante/IMG1453.JPG Seems the metal cover is perforated and is there to protect the little tweeter from touchy cone-pressing people! Is that right? In that case, no need to really have them on for sound quality I guess :)

Ah I see! Thanks! Are there any replacements for these metal caps available? How do they affect the sound? (My M100 seem to work fine but these metal caps are missing)

  • Beovox M100/M100.2 supertweeter versions?

Hi all, Take a look at this pic from a Dutch market website. The supertweeters appear different. What is the difference between the two tweeters? The ones on my own M100-2 look like the ones on the right (plastic), and all over the internet I see the version on the left (black). What is the difference between the two? A missing dustcap, or a totally

  • Re: BeoLab 9 - where is the midrange, too much tweeter!

Hi Dave, I wonder, what sound source are you using? I hear nothing but good on BL9, but tastes can differ of course. A low quality input signal might not be disturbing on a tinny/cool (ICE amplified) sounding BL1 but may be on a (2/3 conventional amplified) BL9. Interesting thread!
just don't underastemate the effect of a clipping amp on a speaker
Ah, I see! Little amps that users want to go as loud as they can will clip and mess up the speaker! Quite logical. I understand now, thanks
My Girlfriend is maybe an even more Beophil then I am. That's why
With delicate I mean that they burn out quit easely.
OK, just sounds a little unnatural to me that amplifiers with little power burn out crossovers! My intuition says big amplifiers at high volume would do that, but then again, my intuition told me lots of things that weren't really feasible after all Do post

Old thread brought back to life!
Another thing about the S75's is to be very carefull with underpowered amps. The tweeters and the crossover seem to be very delicate to this mather.
Delicate? In what way, could you explain? My S75 are still performing nicely, the combination with the BM3000 gives a nice sound

  • Re: MMC4 sylus angle---pic!

Interesting thread! This thread made me worry about my own MMC4. Maybe someone can post a pic of what the angle should look like with a good cartridge? Mine sounds fine but the angle always seemed a little too big to me too... EDIT: found this, interesting read: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/30060/239054.aspx#239054
