Mine was supposed to be with my dealer today, but my dealer hasn't confirmed delivery, installation or whether it was received or not. Not particularly impressed.

That would be interesting to see. But how would they release a larger BV7 that's, erm, different from a BV7 design? Surely it wouldn't be called a 'BV7' if so (think BV10)?
tbh what else would you want to plug in if there's already a blu ray player , dvd w/ upscaler and a sky hd interface ?
Sky HD interface? Eh? Where's that? The DVB HD module surely isn't Sky compatible! No-one is allowed to decrypt Sky signals unless authorised by Sky (and their own boxes
As far as I remember the MKIV specs posted earlier here in this forum it says id BluRay and DVB HD are mounted only two HDMI sockets are left.
Well, they need to be clear about that on their own site as it says 4 x HDMI sockets! I need 3, if possible. Mind you, I won't need the DVB HD module as I use a Sky

Beolab, thanks. If that's the case then dark days for B&O. They've advertised 4 x HDMI sockets so, I want want is advertised. Without 4 x HDMI sockets, in theory I'll be able to reject the TV due to it being 'not as advertised'. I will reject it, too! As I've mentioned quite a bit, I've see the new BV8-40 and that did
The picture looks softer and more plasma like, but it might be related to the sharpness setting.
That's good to hear as that was my impression from watching the new 100Hz BV8-40, which must use the same panel. That looked more BV9-like (smoother) than the normal over-the-top sharpness of my current BV7-40 MKIII

Idiosyncrasies. For example, the BC2 often won't switch from CD to radio. Press 'CD', tries to switch to radio, goes back to CD etc. Does this three times before it finally switches. A few little sw-centric user issues. However, I'm guessing that the BC2 I bought has had a sw/firmware upgrade since inception.
I agree that the BV8-40 does seem to be good value - you seem to have got a bargain there!
I thought the standard RRP for the BV8-40 was £3500 and, until tomorrow, ships with a free Beo5? I do think the BV8-40 is the 'best buy' in the B&O TV range. Sound is improved over the BV8-26 or BV8-32
But for me it is not just the price, it is the product. The TVs are just not good enough or special enough. Even the BV9 is spoilt by the ALT lens.
Yes, completely correct. My view is that the BV9 is a good step up from the BV5 (looks a bit square and dated now), but only without that ALT lens. Why on earth was

I have a BC2 and not particularly impressed with it - it also has sw issues, like my BV7. Visually fine, but it doesn't do very much. Very expensive DVD player. BS4 is much better value. If you're going to buy a BC2 though, why not go to Lifestyle or MoreThan who will do one for around £1795, mint, and far less than a measly 10% discount
