They come free with the Beosound 4 in Australia too.... I'd go back and query this with the dealer, he may give you a better deal. Otherwise ebay is your best bet IMO, and I'd go the Beo4 because you will always be able to use it with future purchases

I just took mine to the B&O service centre and they made it region free. It wasn't expensive and obviously worth it!!

My hope is that the Beosound 5 will be user-friendly (cast your minds over the DVD2 and the Beo5 problems people are having or have had). Absolutely, although not on the trucks like you described... I see these lights for sale every so often, some even converted for domestic use!!
