Crossing fingers, Britops. I want the performance and elegance of B&O audiovisual products - loudspeakers, screens and audiomasters - combined with the convenience, ease of use and sheer wow of having Apple control and storage of my content. The first company that provides me with a good box that can translate my commands into something my hardware

You can actually install the iPhone 2.0 software in the iPod Touch now. The download can be bought from the iTunes Store, and costs about €7 -- you install it in your iPod Touch using iTunes, and then you can install all the apps mentioned, as well as choose from hundreds of others. BTW - there's a Pocketpedia organising app that shows you

It's quite something. BTW - don't understand why this was moved to the Mac forum - iPhone and iPod Touch, plus the apps for them, can be used on both Windows and Mac OS X computers. The implications of this go far beyond computers - it's going to turn Consumer Electronics on its head.

(Maybe leave this here in General, though it deals with the capabilities in the latest version of iPhone 2.0 software - which can also be used in Touch.) I believe that manufacturers of hifi and mobile phones around the world are scrambling now, and I can well understand why Bill Gates recently chose to step down. Apple have placed a mark so high as

The Serene is a great dress phone for the evenings, when you want a light and elegant phone that doesn't bulk up your pockets. During the day, I use multi-task phones that are too bulky for evenings and formal occasions.

The app is very good, and is certain to drive people to iTunes as their music and movie organizing software. I'm kind of surprised that Apple waited this long, particularly as it's very similar to what Signal and Remote Buddy have been delivering for a year. If you have an iPod Touch, you can still use Remote. You have to buy the iPhone 2.0

Very pleased with Remote running on my iPhone 3G, can control different libraries (i.e. on different machines), and provides for multiplay control, can also control AppleTV -- you must choose whether it should control an ATV or a stand-alone Mac. Same GUI as Signal and Remote Buddy, instant response, both to the touch-command and from the Mac mini

Just got Remote working on my iPhone 3G. Has all the functionality of Signal & Remote Buddy's iTunes interaction - very similar look and feel, faster navigation, and near instantaneous response from iTunes. Controls music, podcasts, movies, etc. Does not control peripherals. There's another appstore file called control, not from Apple,

It's good that Apple are finally realizing the potential built into their devices. Though I find using the app-remote flexibility in Remote Buddy very attractive, and hope they add that to their remote. What I'm looking forward to are the hardware control app's rumoured to be in the pipeline.

Ah, Munin, my log-on list was directed at Dario, not you. I think your dealer must be unaware of the ipodremote software mod.
