No, you misunderstand, the jig plugs directly into the PC comms port and the RS232 signal is already generated within the Beocom 6000. If you take the battery compartment off the phone under the led you will see two small holes with gold pads which are the transmit and receive signals as below:-

Daniels, It's not that simple. It does use a standard RS232 interface from the PC, but you will need the firmware and the Beocom software service Tool, as you have neither, it means you will need to take it to your B&O dealer for update.

Whilst the Beo5 Configuration Tool will update the Beo5 to the latest firmware version 1.40a, there has also been a recent hardware change detailed below which is currently being phased into production.
