  • Re: Serenata and Bluetooth with BMW

That may well be true for the Samsung version, but the B&O version is 1.2

  • Re: Serenata and Bluetooth with BMW

Carl, The problem you have is one of the biggest issues in the "Bluetooth world", namely compatability. Like most car manufacturers which use Bluetooth in their cars BMW have a list of supported phone which you can review HERE and you will not find the Serenata listed. So, why do we have these problems, well really because there were no real

  • Re: Announcing Beo5 3rd Party XML Generator Verison 1.1.0 is now available

The new help guide with version 1.1.0 is exactly the same as the previous version except it shows a picture as shown on the first posting of this thread where two pull downs have been added to select the firmware being used and the carrier frequency of the infra-red signal to the third party device

  • Current status of the Beoworld Forum

Well, since I got Beoworld back on-line with Community Server 2008 on 21st January 2009 we have had a few issues, well actually 32 problems which I have got them down to 5 of which really only one of them is truly critical. The critical issue was/is that one of the provided upgrade scripts moves all the pictures which were attached to posts to a central

  • Re: BeoCom 6000 change firmware

No, you misunderstand, the jig plugs directly into the PC comms port and the RS232 signal is already generated within the Beocom 6000. If you take the battery compartment off the phone under the led you will see two small holes with gold pads which are the transmit and receive signals as below:-

  • Re: BeoCom 6000 change firmware

Daniels, It's not that simple. It does use a standard RS232 interface from the PC, but you will need the firmware and the Beocom software service Tool, as you have neither, it means you will need to take it to your B&O dealer for update.

  • New Forum Information Feature

Last night I implemented a small piece of code I have written to allow members to know how many times a thread has been viewed. It is shown under the thread heading after the name, date and time of the last person to post to that thread and is in the form of:- Latest post by Peter on Tue, Mar 20 2007 2:23 AM and viewed 2,033 times

  • Re: New BEO 5?

Whilst the Beo5 Configuration Tool will update the Beo5 to the latest firmware version 1.40a, there has also been a recent hardware change detailed below which is currently being phased into production. It was found that 3rd party products with short or narrow infra-red receiver range would not work correctly. This particularly effected non AV products
