You need to open the unit up. BEWARE LOOSE GLASS...........AND WEAK BONNET STAY HINGE!!! With the rear of the unit towards you, the battery is at the left hand end of the microprocessor board, outside the metal can on a sort of stick out finger. Good Luck!

The on board Li battery is goosed and code is how the machine notifies you. There is a FAQ on this subject. Once the battery has been replace then the numeric sequence must be entered and the unit will then work as normal. I suggest that you take it to a service technician as some batteries that I have seen have been soldered in! Cannot take more than

I suspect that you are now seeing why the wire came off in the first place. You either have one of the wires under rather than around the pulley or more likely the door carriers are not moving freely on the tracks. This could be due to lack of lubication (try a brief spray with silicone spray) or , more likely, they are just knackered and need replacing

Your description could apply to a number of scenarios none of which are difficult to fix. Wire might have snapped (unlikely), wire could have come off of the pulley(s), door mechanism could have come off of the wire (again, unlikely), or a number of other things! Depending on your manual dexterity and patience they could ALL be awkward.

The serial number is to be found on a paper label fixed to the back of the product. Ouvertures are particularly cheap at the moment due to the demise of the cassette tape.

Then contact your local B&O dealer. He/she will have an installer that they use on a regular basis. Hang on, don't tell me, you don't get on with your local dealer? Why am I not surprised???
