Think I would stick with the junction box idea. It will require a much smaller hole. Masterlink plugs are 30mm at the widest point. Craig

Had the same problem finding speakers for an MX5500. Ended up with some 3" shielded speakers from Maplins. Had to cut them right down to the cones. Then cut away the inside of the TV where they go. Looks a bit Heath Robinson with the fret off. Once it's covered up though they sounded very good. Got another one to do this week some time. Craig

Hello and welcome to Beoworld. Sounds as though the tube in you Avant need replacing. Quite a common problem now with older Avants. Replacement just is not worth it as I believe it cost somewhere in the region of £600-700. Craig

If it is not upgraded it will dipslay Phono and Tape 2. Although all the controls are the same I believe. Craig
