It is really remarkable that such a huge membership has been achieved in such a short space - and every one of you can sit back and feel proud to be a credit to the human race. Never have I been involved in such a friendly site with as massive a diversity as that which Beoworld enjoys Chris.
He reckoned if he sold everything separately then he would get £70 for the cabinet, £50 for the speakers and another £100+ for the center itself.
Not a snowball in hell's chance. What he is quoting is the very maximum he would get if 2 idiots started a bidding war on all items! He is

Hi James - it's all a matter of what you think it is worth. Now personally I wouldn't give him more than the value of the cartridge & speakers (£60 maximum) but having owned a couple of the 7000 series centers I wouldn't even contemplate buying it! The S30 speakers are OK but nowhere near as good as S45-2's. There is an inherent

Very well put Simon & exactly the problem with buying a BC2000 I sold a fully working almost mint 7700 with a cracking MMC4 cartridge & MCP remote for £93 - the buyer couldn't beleive what he got for his money. I was sad to part with it if the truth be known but SWMBO insisted........... Chris.

If you are looking for a Beocenter for @ £100 I would highly recommend one of the 7000/7002/7007/7700 series. Beautifully built with the Beocenter 7700 being the best of them with a fabulous amp. Bear in mind though that ANY vintage Beocenter is likely to need some TLC to get back to perfect working order. Nearly all of them will require new belts
Chris, No, I think it did when the first time I plugged it in, but not any more. I did disassemble the case to check for anything obvious. I found that the small fuse is good and that the relay inside the unit clicks when I plug it in. That covers everything I know about the inside of a stereo! Does the black brick

Hi and welcome to Beoworld. When you plug the Beomaster 6500 in does that small red LED stand by light come on? (The master control panel will show no contact if the receiver is not powered up so that is normal). Chris.

Hi Jerry, the CD3300 will be fine but a lot depends on personal taste. My preferrance would be a CDX as it offers a much less sterile tone to later CD players - almost akin to a perfect analogue sound and is the preferred choice of many people who own a 8000 system. They are almost bullet proof but would certainly benefit from having a capacitor replacement

Don't panic! The part that is missing simply screws onto the actual couterweight which is inside the tonearm so no your deck isn't ruined If anything it will now be tracking at a slightly lower force than it was due to the weight of the slider missing, this would explain your records sounding "thin" as there isn't quite enough
When i press SOUND on my BC9500, it just momentarily turns on the volume lights and nothing else. What else do i need to do?
Hi and welcome to Beoworld, what are you trying to do with your BC9500? Chris.
