Many years ago I had a poor condition BL5000 that had pixels broken and the screen loose. I didn't pay much for it and was aware of it when I bought it. I used a bit of super glue to fix the screen itself in place. Sounds like you got a broken screen... They are very expensive to replace. I was quoted something in the range of 300 euro when I asked

The two-way remotes were very cool. I love mine. My parents still has a BC2300 2-way that I sometimes use them with. The BL7000 actually had quite a lot info on the screen. BS 5 needs a two-way remote desperately.

The part is most likely available as a spare from B&O.
