Congratulations! Why don't you write up the details of how you did it - it might be useful both for members and dealers who wish to prepare something similar both for existing BeoPort/BeoMedia and for the "who knows when it arrives" BeoSound 5? I'd imagine you can control playback in the same manner, using a Touch or iPhone?

beoaddict: This keeps just one question remaining: why has B&O not been able to give the beolink 5 these (simple) capabilities? Although I'm one of their biggest fans, I have to admit that this is just a lost chance for B&O. Looking forward to the BS5! Congratulations. I'm very pleased with mine, as it is a definite improvement upon

It's like my iPod Touch - I've only listened to music through it a few times!

The title of this post doesn's mean that peoples' lives are changed, but that the manner in which we interact with CE is different from now on. The iPhone Remote is the top download of all the app's offered through the AppStore - that says something. My experience is that the Apple Wireless is very stable, and that it has become progressively

Interesting, Puncher - and I do think you're right. I was in the UK recently, and caught an interview with the head of the BBC who stated that to date they had found tens and tens of different ways to connect internet-based content to televisions. He was looking for a convenient and simple standard - where an ethernet cable entered a box in one

Puncher: My point was more aimed at the (mis)understanding that the arrival of the 3G iPhone has suddenly enabled and released this, until now, new, unseen world. It hasn't, the world was there all along, available to those underground explorers who were willing to fight to get there. What has happened is that Apple have pointed it out it's

I totally agree, dilznik. B&O have never comprehended the brand overlap that exists between B&O and Mac customers, and the latter have always been treated more as an annoyance than as a serious market - to B&O's loss, I'm convinced. I can't agree with Puncher above. This is not hype - this is disruptive technology and will become

I have wonderful music coming out of BL4000, BL3 and BL5 speakers, in different rooms. I totally enjoy my BeoVision 8 - nobody could build anything like it, it's all B&O. The fact that Apple is creating a new standard for playback of digital content should just be embraced, I think - it's all playing through my B&O products. What B&O

I am convinced that there's a considerable overlap in preferences between the universes of Apple and Mac customers, and that the products of the two brands could create a very strong total performance. The fact that B&O's speakers do not need conventional amplifiers says it all, really. B&O should create an audiomaster that converts

I see your point, Beobird, but I don't see any alternatives delivering the same ease-of-use that I am looking for - when that user convenience in addition comes in a very well designed package, with top-notch user interface, then it's a walk-over for the Apple solution. As to "everyone" using them - Macs still have no more than 5-6
