£200 is a lot of money. I had one that I had repolished and was working 100% that I sold on eBay about 8 months ago for £120. It was a cracking listing taken outside in the sun with a B&O soldier, original manuals, etc. £120 was a great price and loads more than I was hoping, but given the time and effort that went into polishing

If it's to specifically fit in an interior Peter, then the RG Compact is probably the ideal choice. The long, low, uninterrupted lines are absolutely timeless, and really will fit in to that kind of styling better than the RG deluxe or the 2400 system. If I had room for one, I'd have a Compact in a flash :) Agree about the BG1000 though, but
You need to replace both woofers.
Just ordered two replacements this morning - anyone want one dead and one working 8 inch Peerless woofers, both with foam rot?
The main reason is that there is no CD player and I personally think that the computer music belongs in the computer world, not in a player.
I think that's the main issue for me. The progression from vinyl or cassette to CD still involved essentially the same media, i.e. a hard storage format and a device

No chance in white in the UK - I've never, ever seen any white 6000/8000 component on UK eBay in 4 years of looking!
It was this - 180325200988 Had to drive to Newquay in the snow to fetch it mind, but for that money I didn't care! I basically rang him and asked how much he was hoping to get, and thats the price he said. So I just said, "Ok. I'll come now then!" Job done!
Fantastic, but do you want to swap

How about a complete Beosystem 6000 (BG8002, BM6000, BC8004, BG CDX2 + MC120.2s) for FREE! Granted the 8002 and 8004 needed work doing, and the MC120.2s have foam rot and a toasted driver, but still a cracking piece of good luck!

Thanks Peter Do they have a knowledge of previous Peerless products and their modern-day equivalents, or are they just into making their own speakers and acting as a distributor for Peerless? It's hard to tell from their website.

Apologies for crashing the main forum, but does anyone know if the Peerless 830667 woofer is a straight swap for the original Peerless woofer in the MC120.2? I've got a double case of foam rot, and a toasted coil on one of my drivers, and I just want to get it sorted asap! The link to these is below: http://www.audio-components.co.uk/store/productdetail

UPDATE: Just tried the woofer connected to the crossover in the other speaker - it is fried. What do I do now? I have two woofers with foam rot, and one has a toasted coil. Any suggestions??
