• MX5500 Speaker Replacement

Recently I needed to replace the speakers on an MX5500. As I could not get any original ones, I modified some from Maplin's. Last night I did another, this time I took some photos of my handywork. Any comments are greatly appreciated. Well this first picture shows the original speaker with the dreaded foam rot. Also the coils had gone on both speakers

  • Re: LX2500 Beovision Tv
I bought some foam rings from Holland and then repaired them - they work perfectly now. I can't remember the size off hand but should be able to dig out the details if you wish..... Brian.
Were they from Goodhifi? Very helpful to deal with my experience. Mine were too far gone for this, the previous owner

They look very strange to say the least. What about the energy recovery system thingy? Some teams will be running it and the ones that can't make it work won't be. Surely it should be everyone or no one? Craig

  • Re: Hum - argh!!! Beomaster 4400 and RX2 Turntable

Hello Patrick, and welcome to Beoworld. Sounds as though you have an Earthing problem. Try running a piece of wire between the chassis of the Beomaster and the chassis of the Beogram. Craig

  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Duran Duran - Rio. Craig
Some years ago, this might have fallen to the "embarrasing essentials" category, but today I will simply call Duran Duran brilliant pop. I recently had to get the "Greatest Hits" CD for this purpose, since Rio wasn't quite as readily

  • Re: Avant Picture Settings
To my knowledge those settings are calibrated to a standard and compenate for any differences / innaccuracies that the parts and hardware of the television may cause (most have unique values)... i know this is the case with the speaker calibration in the beolabs...
Agree with Dave, I believe they are different
