• Re: Pickup cartridge MMC

Oh yes, then it is definitely best to get that one fixed! I assumed the cart was missing completely. The link you quoted is for an elliptic stylus, so it will actually be a slight upgrade - the end result will be just like an MMC20E.

Unfortunately not, it's just the repair service for a cartridge you send in.

  • Re: LINE(S) OF BLACK AND WHITE PIXELS!
does it regularly happen on some times of broadcasts / channels ?
If the "pixels" are rather wide (less than 100 on the entire screen width), it could be the vertical interval time code (VITC) of the original broadcast source tape bleeding through. It's a binary code that is used to identify each
I'll try Axel, he has some good deals on refurbished cartridges.
I tried to look earlier, but he doesn't seem to have any of these models on the webshop (doesn't mean he couldn't still sell one, though). You could also buy one with a broken needle from fleaBay and send it to Axel for repair

  • Re: Which processor will replace the BM7000 original ????

It doesn't matter. An 80C32 is an 80C32, regardless of when it was made. The chip will probably have a four-digit date code printed, for example "9247" would be week 47 in 1992.

  • Re: how rare is a ST9500 stand for BeOcenter 9000, 9500, 9300
If you think "dirt cheap" with regard to "bargains", I agree with you. But there also some sales where I find the difference between used and new not enough anymore to justify a used purchase on the internet, with all its inherent risks. I saw recently beovox 5000 in really less than pristine

The CMOS (with the C in the middle) and NMOS (without) parts are totally interchangeable as long as software goes. Manufacturer doesn't matter either. One difference is that the power saving modes of the CMOS controller are not implemented in the NMOS version. This doesn't matter if the original design uses an NMOS part. The reset pin works

  • Re: BeoSound 5 now support Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC)
Perhaps it's about time Apple added native Flac support, at least in iTunes.
That'll be culturally difficult and there's not much pressure - everybody else is expected to "embrace" Apple by its customers, while Apple itself can do this as difficult as possible without getting much flak

They are certainly not common, but it won't be the last one to surface for sale either. It'll be well worth $240 if you think you need one - don't think there's much chance of getting one cheaper - but IMHO not much sense in buying one to just to fill up a closet. It's a good looking stand, but just like many others, needs open space

  • Re: beomaster 7000 connect to beogram cd 7000

Great! Wasn't such a simple job you expected A Beomaster 7000 is convenient in that you can use any B&O speakers you wish, from the vintage passives to the latest Powerlink-equipped active speakers. Recommending any single model usually results in an argument... I have passive Pentas with my 6500 system, and I'm quite happy with them. Something
