[quote user="Peter "] The B&O recommended way from the top down for the 5000 system is: Beogram 5000 Beomaster 5000 Beogram CD50 Beocord 5000. It allows you to have all the units open but still easily access all the sources! The 5500 system rather spoilt this by the cassette being directly under the CD tray of the CD50, but this was rectified

Yes, it is possible. If your BS5 is audiomaster it must be set to option 0 - BV7-40 to V.OPT 2. If you have another Beosound in the masterlink system, set BS5 to no audiomaster. Seems there is something wrong with your installation...(?) Stefan

The short answer to most of your questions is: Wait for the update. 1- Correct. Navigation in N.MUSIC and N.RADIO mode via TV screen is not (yet) very useful. The update will give us a menu similiar to that you have in the PHOTO and WEB section. 2- You can use N.RADIO and N.MUSIC via BS5 as audio source, or via TV in PC mode as video source. Usually

What about BV7-40 with BL10. It`s a perfect match to the BL5s. Same surface and ALT speakers. For picture you will have the BS3 with 40" screen, new technology and not too large. There are 3 HD sources connected to my BV7: BM5, TVIX 6500, Lyngbox (Beo makes a PUC for this settop-box right now). As audio sources I have a BS9000 and a BS5. I can

[quote user="Chrisreunion"] Or maybe people would be happy if a simple software update in BeoSound 5 made the product react to different keys when used as audio master: then you could keep your Beo4, and select NRADIO and NMUSIC via RADIO and AMEM, which mean almost the same anyway. Then pressing CD would activate PC CD in BeoPort, and since

Not quite correct. BS5 has A.OPT 0, 1 and 2. You can choose : Audio Master YES - NO. When no audiomaster is selected the options are greyed out. See also: Beomaster 5 service manual, page 15. A.OPT 5 - 6 for linkroom use will be added in an update. My BS5 is no audiomaster, so I can`t say, what it does in option 1 or 2, sorry. But I think it will act

I don`t think a resistor can solve the problem. And I don`t think that it i`s just a speaker connection problem. Your BS5 is set to no audiomaster. It is masterlinked to audio- and videomaster in the mainroom. When you control your BS5 in the kitchen via remote the Beolink system "knows" that it will be controled from a linkroom. When you
