The A TV control is a bit shaky. Some had success with the BV7 40" MK3, depends on the software version and sometimes even how it was updated. At least, you would have to get your software updated. For my BV8 I checked with beocare through the official website and they confirmed with the product manager which took a bit. By the time they came back

The heat comes as the processor is working. I do believe the HD shuts down. If you put your hand onto it and start a movie you should be able to feel it. I will try that tonight on mine. If you don't like that it goes into Speaker 3, I would just jack up the volume of the master as a workaround. I don't think you can default it to speaker 1

He works via the Dock Connector so A TV is a no. I remember that he mentioned that this was quite a bit of work to get the Beo 4 compatible IR into the Ipod dock. Since my BV8 can control the ATV sooner or later other TVs should be able too. And then there is also the kit from Oneremote that enhancers the Beo4. JK

I haven't tried an automatic one either. However if you use the STB I think it can get funky since the HDMI can only be set on one source and that source is then shared between 2 products Common problems with the automatic ones are that some products keep a signal on the HDMI even though they are off. So you end up switching manually.

>> If B&O choose to build 'cheaper' products they risk losing their real clientele, with no real promise that they will add new customers at the low end.<< There is cheap and then there is different price points. BMW has the 1, 3, 5 and 7 Series. Plus X5 and X3. Plus Z4 and friends. Plus the 6 Series. I don't think any of

I have the Apple TV. I have the latest US BV8 and it does control it through STB so no need for Lintronik. I am using it for rmusic right now but will switch most likely to Beosound 5 / Beomaster 5 if it is good and leave the A-TV for Video Only, The 160 GB version seems to be OK space wise for Video only. It's true that for connecting to a NAS

>> why don't they have a small museum of bno in every shop - showing off what they've achieved over the years , maybe have a smaller version of the massive book they do - give it away<< They have or had something like this in Munich if I remember correct. I don't know if this was temporary or not. They had different products
