Mint examples in blue will probably make around £650-700 on ebay UK. Grey are worth slightly less. Any marks on the stainless and the value drops like a brick. The majority of those available are not mint so will be in the £400-500 region. I'm guessing that you just had the grey pair that disapeared from ebay recently???

It is easier to transfer the electronics to the new cases rather than to try removing the aluminium square! The plexiglass will break if you drop it! The cases are left/right handed. Been there, done that!!

I am indeed surprised to hear that it was not the fuse on the power supply. I have had any number of these decks with this fuse blown. Usually due to overagressive use of a record duster of some description. If you stall the motor for any lenth of time then the fuse blows!

You are able to set BS9000 to Option 1 or 2 with no powerlink connected. Simple go ahead and do it as normal but it will default to Option 0 if you turn the mains off and back on again. The secret is to leave it in standby mode and it will remember it's option setting until you unplug it again.
