  • Re: Beosystem 3 with Non-B&O Panel recommendation

Razlaw: What about Beosystem 3 with an LCD? Smasung for instance? Isn't the Beovision 7 panel a Samsung? I'm not sure what the panel is in the latest version - whether or not it's still a Samsung I don't know. I know they have used Samsung in the past though. Nonetheless, the panel in the BV7 is very closely tied in to the BeoSystem 3 which is built

  • Re: Has Bang & Olufsen lost it's product MOJO?

A voice activated system would be the most horrific, deadly dull thing I could possibly imagine in a HiFi/AV system. As if music didn't have enough event to it already, it could be made even more 'no-need-to-think-about-it' with a voice activated system.

Very few people produce the actual panels themselves actually. Sony don't produce their own panels - they use Samsungs.

  • Re: What should I buy?

BeoLab 4000s sound cold and awful? Maybe they had only just been set up? I've always found them to sound very warm, natural and colourful.

  • Re: Celebrating the BeoLab 8000, interview Hi-Fi world w David Lewis

BL8000s + BS9000 have actually always seemed to get good opinions from the hifi industry. What HiFi? gave the rating 4 stars overall (the missing star was probably because they couldn't use cables costing 50 times as much as the cables which would do the job just as well).

  • Re: Beo5 - what a piece of junk.

It would be good if B&O could offer some kind of 'remote config' facility. It could be relatively easily done, meaning a configuration file is sent to the user over the internet via email or whatever, and the user downloads a little tool from B&O which allows them to upload the information to their Beo5. After all, the Beo5 itself isn't needed to do

  • Re: Upscaling Picture Quality Beosystem 2 vs. 3

I would get a standard definition DVD player, and connect it via Scart. In terms of noise reduction etc... it does all of that. Noise reduction is part of the Vision Clear. It's also constantly adjusting the sharpness of the image to suite what's best for the incoming signal (as opposed to a fixed sharpness control which will only work for certain material

  • Re: BV8 and BC2 Question - Delayed Sound for Music

xegoon: I use them wiothout ML connection and the sound & pic run OK The scart can only be used to activate the DVD player - not to activate it as a CD player or use the Radio section. You can play CDs through the DVD function, but it's better not to IMO.

  • Re: Beomedia 1 Future????

B&O won't drop the support for all BeoMedia 1 users. I'd wait and see what happens

  • Re: Upscaling Picture Quality Beosystem 2 vs. 3

I actually like how the colour temp. is off the normal standards - it looks more natural to me. In fact I've never seen another TV on the market which can render flesh tones like a B&O, particularly the plasmas. That doesn't mean to say the other processors etc... on the market aren't very good - they are, and there are some very very good ones out
