I also received my set today, looking fine even without the lettering. My girlfriend noticed I had a pair of white design RL140 and fell in love with them instantly. They will look great on the wall next to the white design Beovision LX2802. I will get back here with feedback on the straps when I am done with the crossovers, woofers and cloths. Martin

I noticed some time ago that Beoworld member Nobby was looking to do some repairs. I am not sure if that is still the case and/or if he will accept to do a tangential but it's worth asking him, I suppose. Martin

Angus, Welcome to Beoworld ! Your Beogram 8000 is showing the usual symptoms of aging capacitors, cracked solder joints and possibly a disintegrating tachodisc. All fixable. Do a search in these quarters and you will find lots more info. Martin

Don't know if you are aware that it's an IR LED. You will need a digital camera or similar to see if it lights up. Martin

Rudy, Yes, it's very beautiful. The Master Deluxe 38K is not in itself incredibly rare but finding one in this condition definitely is. Søren, Please do. I will add a couple more: Martin

Oh yes, that could produce a click. Martin

The H-bridge directs voltage to the motor, either through the top left two and bottom right two transistors - or - the top right two and bottom left two. That gives the polarity change across the motor that controls its direction. Either way, the current is controlled by four transistors that all need to function. I suggest you go ahead and replace

OK. DC voltage across the servo motor when you press play ? Martin

OK, next thing could be the start button not providing a signal to the electronic switch. Again, there are many different versions, but check the diodes (and zeners) and capacitors around the switch transistors (designated 1TR1 in many versions), check the base voltage/signal when you press start. The platter should start rotating and the carriage should start moving left. No clicks. First click will be from either the solenoid lowering the tonearm (in the case of a 12 inch record) or the speed switching relay (in case a 7 inch record (or no record) is found). Martin
