Hi Marc, worry not my friend, Peter is taking a well deserved holiday (off feeding the secret sheep I believe ). He will be back in a week or so. In the meantime you will have to make do with the rest of us moderators as we attempt to fill his ample shoes. Chris.

Hi and welcome to beoworld To be honest the straps are the least of your problems here. It is a very common problem with the first generation RL60 speakers that the ABR's have disintegrated. If you shake the speakers you will hear the plates rattling around inside the cabinet. There are several fixes for this which can be found in the "workbench"

Alex is correct to a dgeree - this will stop the activation of the timer functions but the programs will still be there. The only 2 ways of cancelling the programs are to use the remote type which programmed them in the first place (which could be any of - MCP5500, MCP6500, Beolink 7000 or Beolink 5000) or remove the back up battery inside for 10 minutes

Chris.

Very common problem and probably due to the mechanism between drop arm solenoid & the tonearm. There are a couple of pivot points which become stiff over time due to hardening of the old lubricant. You need to clean off the old lubricant and apply some fresh silicon grease. It has been covered a few times on here so a search of this & the workbench

Hi Lennert, welcome to Beoworld and thanks for sending the photo to Lee so we can all see the fresh faced youngster who has become our 10,000 th member. Don't worry though - after a few years of dealing with the likes of Puncher & Jandyt a few lines will appear and spoil that youthful complexion. Chris.

Hi. the TX2 is to all intents & purposes identical to the Beograms 5005/5500/3000/3300 so the service manual for those will give you all the info' you need. Chris.
