  • Re: First pictures of BV 10

What a terrible set-up for the launch. Why on earth wasn't it put on a wall? It would have been better to just put the image on line or do it through the Beolounge! The back of the TV is not too attractive: you would think that the hinge and rear panel would look a bit more finished. Graham EDIT Don't suppose the hinge is motorised????????

  • Re: Competition - Win a BeoTime !!!!

Lee, What happens if several people choose the same number and that number comes out as the winner? Graham

  • OFF keys on Beomasters

Here's a question I've often pondered but never asked. When switching off a Beomaster 1200 (press down key....and presumably other models with similar key switches), the initial part of the pressing causes whatever other button, eg FM, that was in use to release. However, unless you continue pressing down further, the amplifier light and circuit

  • Re: Wood on walls (like BeoLiving scene)

Bear in mind that for new construction in the UK timber cladding on internal walls would not comply with the Building Regs on account of fire risk. That's probably also a good reason to avoid it with later feature construction: an electrical fault in wiring you'd hidden behind the wood could quickly have the whole room on fire! Graham

  • Re: Gramophone magazine archives

Great find Mika. Didn't realise that this mag was still in publication! Some odd errors in their index though.. search for Beomaster 1200 takes you to April 1971 but there's nothing on the page that's relevant (Pickering cartridges in this particular case.) Lots of reminders of the equipment B&O was up against in the 70's. Now going

  • Re: New Toy

Found a white model on a Danish small ads site for 250Kr. Seller said it was perfect cosmetically, but lights not working so assumed faulty. Well, 'Lights not working' turned out to actually mean lights/ lenses missing and a whole lot of other problems! Martin has just completed a full overhaul inc caps etc. Will post pictures in due course

  • Re: Standard Definition versus High Definition

Emerging from Lime Street Station, Liverpool, you are now faced by a curvy screen that must be 10m high and 50 to 100m long. It is showing ads and movie clips etc. The screen is so bright, even in full sunlight, that drivers find it distracting and dazzling. Great HD images when viewed from 100m, but just a tad pixelated close-up. I just marvel at how

  • Re: Pre-owned

Using a Roku/Pinnacle N Radio decoder works for me: just input it to your auxiliary connection using a 5pin DIN plug to phono lead. Graham

  • Re: Two STB's with BV3

[quote user="Dave"] I think we've missed the point in the original posters question ~ his issue is that the STB-C is sending an IR signal to both the samsung and apple unit when he's only wanting to control one at a time. To my knowlegde there is nothing you can do about that, my BV3 does the same thing with my two strong set top boxes
