We took a beautiful pair of BeoVox MC120.2 speakers in part exchange yesterday from an elderly lady who had them from new. Have you got the 8000's plugged into the mains? Do they have any standby lights showing at the bottom of the black cloth section? If so, then have you set them to 'Line' on the 3-position switch? Just swing up the cover where you connected the fig-8 power plug and have a look inside. Lee

the serial number is on the rear of the unit. if it has the cable cover on, it will be obscuring it - so just get him to pop it off. It will also be obscured if the unit is in the wall bracket. No huge problems with Ouvertures. Check the Tape Mechanism hasn't siezed through lack of use, and try to buy a 'straight laser' as opposed to the
