  • Re: Beovision Avant 28RF DVD

It rather depends on the STB software fitted to your set. Turn on your TV by pressing TV. Then press Menu , scroll to Set up and press GO. Scroll to Connections and then you will get a list of which sockets are set to what. One should be set to STB(SAT). Highlight this and press GO and you will get a long list of STBs which can be used. Most will be

  • Re: Quick question, does your BeoTalk1200 have one of these on the end?

Mine has a black splitter with a socket for the BeoTalk with a computer type socket (like the one above) and a socket for a phone line.

  • Re: CDM12 IND

I would suggest emailing the second address and asking for suggestions. They clearly have experience in this field.

  • Re: Beogram 8002 help

Have done four I think. I used epoxy on them all. Something with a little slippage to start with allows you to get the shut lines spot on.

  • Re: How good is the Beovox P 50?

Very similar as long as it is wall mounted. Not as thin as it originally looks, it has two small bass drivers which are asymmetrically placed - the lower one always seems very close to the edge to me but I imagine that this was for a reason - but the other drivers are outwardly the same as the earlier S45. I really like these - the P45 was the later

  • Re: BC2 discontinued?

I do have one of those! But setting timers in the audio or video masters is preferable as you can tailor the times for different days. Almost as good as using a Beolink 7000!

  • Re: Shibata stylus pressure?

The MMC2 has a line contact stylus, not elliptical. I would try at 1.7g and then tune by ear. It will not damage the records - more damage is done by a mistracking cartridge. I have a couple with Shibata tips done by Axel and an original MMC5000. Axel's are very easy to listen to and musical. They do seem to perform best with slightly more weight

  • Beolab 11

Should be arriving in your local showroom in mid April. Will be available in a variety of colours , initially white and silver but black, dark grey, blue and red will be also coming. There is also a gold option at extra cost - I imagine this is a taste tax! Price will be about 2/3 of a Beolab 2. An interesting product which will go very well with the

  • Re: Beolink 7000 and RDS

I seem to remember that it doesn't work with the 2500 RDS module - in fact I may well be wrong, but I thought it might adversely affect the two way communication. I'll try to check this out!

  • Re: BC2 discontinued?

No timers in the BV10 - if I had not had the BC2, I would have had to pull out one of my older systems as my avant used to act as the master. Incredible decision.
