• Re: Beolab 5000 panel

I'd like some Lab 5000s, but only if I had another room to mount them in as I wouldn't give up my Pentas for them. Pentas are more flexible in that they can be fitted into rooms in a nicely discreet manner, whereas Lab 5000s look a sod unless you start channeling walls out to hide the cable runs. Anyone, and I mean anyone, who takes their looks

  • Re: Cartridges...Some Options..

Mmmm. If you can get a bargain on the MMC1 or MMC2, they might be worth a punt over a new SMMC1 or SMMC2 given the cost. Up to you if you want to take a chance....
I'm sure that if you play some records you'll like it and become addicted. There's nothing like viewing the media rotating as it is played, ipods are smart alright but provides no eye-candy.
I agree Martin. I was enjoying playing in my MC120.2 woofers last night with a selection of records on the

Depends who you ask and what condition they're in. Apparently B&O couldn't give them away towards the end of the production run, but I've certainly heard of good examples changing hands for nearly £1k - but that is probably the top end of the market. I think Graham (joeyboygolf) is a big fan and might have something to add to this

  • Re: Beocom 1000 Problem

Hi Mika You were quite right about the extra broadband speed - I re-booted the router and it was indeed significantly speeded up. Just got one more phone to connect a filter to now.... Thanks for the advice :)

'This is a Low' by Blur. Just playing in the new woofers in my MC120.2s and they're sounding sweet.

  • Re: MC120.2 - Dead Woofer Help

Very nice Peter - the surrounds on yours do look a bit thicker than the originals, so perhaps there's a halfway house between mine and yours?? I Googled your Peerless part nos. and these are not current anymore, so I think the ones I used are the next best 'new' options. Chris - Fliss is an accomplished knitter. Let me know if you need a

  • Re: Beocom 1000 Problem

Thanks Chris I went to the pub tonight but came home and dug around in the garage and found a filter. The Beocom is now working properly and I am mightily relieved, so thanks to Mika for the advice and to Chris for the kind offer :) What is weird though is the fact that I have had a Trimphone, a BT Genie and a BT 400 series phone all plugged into my

Thanks Mika I think I have a spare filter somewhere, so I'll try that in the morning and report back! :) John
