That's right, the BV8 has a good picture quility, and the (stero-) sound is even more impressive considering the size of the unit. But I doubt that the picture quality is better then on BV3...

Even if the BV8 would have a sourround sound module, I would advise you to keep the BV3 and replace the tube, unless you don't like it anymore.

Congratulations, Russ. When you get your Beo4, post some pictures! A Beo4 might not be very spectacular as a product (compared to some other stuff), but IMO, it would be cool if all the winners posted a picture of them with their prize.. Enjoy your pirze!

thanks for the tips, soundproof. I have tried out speaker3 mode several times with my BL7-1 and BL8000 setup. I always found that the stereo image was somehow lost, as most of the sound comes from the center and only some effects from the fronts. Could it be that the processor of the BV7 is not good for this?

If you like the sound of your 8000s that much, I see no problem to get a second pair. But I doubt a second BL2 will add anything to the sound. I know this might not interrest you, but have you noticed that when you add the value of your potentional setup (4 BL8000 and 2 BL2), you arealmost at one pair of BL5, which are, I think you have to agree too
