This recording is, of course, an exceptional case - but it gives you an idea of what both BD is capable of, and what may soon be generally available (either on disc, or as downloads). It's the world's first music release on BD in DSD and uncompressed Linear PCM resolution. Full resolution recording takes place in DSD format - and this recording

The issue here is whether it supports the through-speeds of full resolution audio, Razlaw. PCM is just a term - pulse code modulation - and is a method for quantization of analog signals in digital form. Full resolution, multi-channel 24-bit, 96/192kHz throughspeeds is something that only a very few processors are configured for, and that's the

With Mac, Firefox works best here. Safari and Opera are both addled and doesn't give you all functions - like creating links. Haven't tried Camino.

Yes - I knew which room they were going to be in, and had a general idea as to where they would perform best. A good distance to the back and side walls and an almost true isosceles triangle - head>speakers - my head is just outside that triangle. Some of the items on that list are for service personnel. You shouldn't need the special tool for the top cover, for instance, or the service bracket. The sync cable has to be ordered separately, as that is to be used when the speakers are connected to non-B&O masters. If you have small kids, you might want to order the soft-cloth covers, as

Seller has both a Beogram 4000 and Beomaster 3000. One owner - he claims they are in good condition. http://www.finn.no/finn/bap/object?finnkode=14325248&sid=xz10cab8TW-j303911&WT.svl=Link

Yes, it's not a dealbreaker for me. Thanks to both of you!

I think you'll have to find another line of business, 355f! :-) Sometimes, Occam's Razor can be helpful. I'd think that if BeoSystem 3 properly handled the HD Audio formats that would be clearly marked in the spec's, and the manual would indicate how to ensure one got the proper signal processing. The person at B&O who told 355f
