I'm in the same boat as Andy....I need some time to weigh up the pros and cons of which there are many.
And what are the 'cons' exactly? Who are we to police advertising? We don't across our European B2B websites. It it were up to our forum members (and it isn't!), they'd ban all online

Lee, I'd say don't have any hesitation. It's only an advert. We all need the money ('we', as in all online retailers) and if people are prepared to pay, whatever the source, then let them. Beoworld is simply a discussion portal. Although our comments and thoughts are from individuals, it's all about B&O. They're hardly
Obviously, with the latest BV7-40, with Blue-Ray, the TV comes with an Ethernet connection, so video streaming is not far..
That's not for 'video streaming', that's for connecting up to Blu-ray live services, via your existing wired Internet connection.
Don't get me wrong, I am not saying it doesn't do well right now. But I would think a product launch like a BC3 would be 18 to 24 month out giving that up to recently the upgrade of the BC2 was rumored. Maybe longer.
There is some truth in that, I agree. Isn't there a video version of the BS5 coming
I think in general disks be it Blueray or DVD are on their way out.
Let's not go back down that route again - there are just as many people who disagree. Blu-ray take off has exceeded expecations through late 2008, for example. However, what B&O could or should do is look at adding HD video support to
Does anybody know, if the BC2 will come with a Blueray ?
I think this was a question that Lee asked the CEO (or someone!) recently. I think the answer was 'no, as there is no Blu-ray mechanism that will fit the design of the BC2'. It would be ideal if they updated the BC2 with Blu-ray, so this could be

Everything I've read about Bitstream is that it's an encoded format that sends information to audio devices telling it exactly how it should be decoded. I've always been told that you should use uncompressed/raw PCM, rather than Bitstream. I may be wrong, but that was the general consensus.

Yes, I'm angry with a lot of things B&O at the moment, particularly the BV7-40. Crashed six times last night. I was hoping I could try and resolve the problem, but am completely out of ideas :(
you're not having good luck there> what are you going to do about this

All I was trying to do was get some more user-input in to the General Forum. In fairness, even the key mods tend to post in the sub-forums ;) Yes, I'm angry with a lot of things B&O at the moment, particularly the BV7-40. Crashed six times last night. I was hoping I could try and resolve the problem, but am completely out of ideas :(

Confuses me that there is a lot of discussion in some of the sub-forums - particularly in other languages. Shouldn't we encourage (like other public forums) people to discuss, in English, on the primary 'General Forum'?
What about freedom of speech, cultural and language
