My Serene is on proud display open and docked on its charger on top of my dresser with the rest of my mobile hi-fi and electronic stuff. I use it every now and then now. Currently I am operating from a brand new HTC Inspire 4G.

I'm sure my Beomaster 3000 or a Beomaster 4000 could push a pair of 5000s pretty well. Size has never really put me off!

[/quote] The Onkyo setup I just did, I believe used the zone 2 line out for recording purposes... Don't quite remember, something like that though.

Does the Serenata support AAC or .m4a files? If it does, you will be happy with the quality. I think all iTunes downloads are 256kbps now if I'm not mistaken.

I would imagine the 7.4 would be much more capable of keeping up with your Pentas. It has 2x250w ICEpower amps and ALT! Miles beyond 4000s. But, I am just going off of spec sheets and things I have read on here. I havne't had the oportunity to listen to either - at all. Have a listen!

I was just grappling with .m4a fles last night. Mine are all from the Apple FLAC Lossless ripper on itunes. I picked up a new HTC smartphone yesterday and found out it plays .m4a files - but only kind of. One album played straight away, no problem. So I loaded two more albums on but no go this time.
