I have eventually mastered the recording of shows/films onto the HDD, editing them, renaming them, recording them onto DVD and after much searching (and help from here) finalising them. Definitely nothing easy or intuitive about the DVD-2 menu systems. But I have a problem with only being able to fit two ½ hour shows onto a disc. On my Panasonic

Hi again Guffas, That is very helpful. I'll have a go this weekend and maybe post a few screen shots of my design once I have some worth seeing. If people like them I'm more than happy to make up zip file and pass it on to who ever wants. Stoobie

Thank you Guffas, It's nice to know my Beo5 has the latest firmware. (called software on the remote itself). The reason I asked if the was an issue over having bigger than 92 by 44 pixel buttons is that on some of the screens where I only have one or two buttons I wanted to make them bigger but the design I have come up with looks OK that size so

I have just got hold of a Beo5 running SW version 1.45a. I have had a good look around the forum but can't see what is the latest version - the Beo 5 resource site says 1.43a is the latest but I assume that must be out of date. I'm about to contact my local B&O dealer to see if they will update the software to the latest (if 1.45a isn't
I wonder if there are any suitable free pdf converters...?
Olly OpenOffice has free PDF tools and I believe that OpenOffice Draw, which is part of the "software suite" has a export/save to PDF option, or if not, open the image in OpenOffice Writer and export/save to PDF. I hope I am posting in the correct forum :o) Sometime back I bought a used non-working BeoLink Wireless from "that" auction site! I was aware it was not working but paid less than £15 for it. it is a mint condition white model but unfortunately when plugged in nothing lights up. I have a working pair so know what the lights should look
It would be great if it worked though! Then I'd have a cunning plan to make wireless electricity, involving some wireless access points and some homemade cables... I would become rich!
Too late, someone has beaten you to it! BBC News . Stoobie

If the cables weren't quite so much I'd give it a try because if it doesn't work I can use the Powerline Adaptors instead of wireless to connect my Laptop to the network and get a better result when on the web on that. I have been thinking of getting a couple for a while now. So, I have justified the cost of the adaptors ...............

I was sitting thinking the other day about my masterlink setup and it popped into my head that it may be possible to use masterlink to RJ45 leads ( see here ) and a pair of powerline networking sockets ( see here ) to extend my setup. I use BeoLink Wireless to one room at the moment and have been very lucky not to have the issues described so often

Something that may be worth thinking about is printable water-slide decal paper. Similar to the decals we used to get with Airfix models (and other makes). See here or here A quick google threw those pages up but I thought if you printed the black lettering/logo then transferred it on and then put a couple of clear coats over the top of the whole resprayed
