  • Re: BeoMaster 2400-2 Unresponsive TouchPads

Hi MartinM Some extra information for you from my records. To test the action of the touch pads, measure the DC voltage on the collector of 3TR25 and 3TR24. When the pads are not being touched, the voltage is around -10V. When you touch the respective pads, the voltage jumps sharply to around +12V. The two test points are the large silver pads in the

Hi MartinM A few points for you to consider The small volume control PCB for the 2400-2 is not the same as the 2400. It is more complicated and provides 128 adjustment steps instead of the 16 steps on the 1900/2400 models. I couldn’t make any sense of the circuit diagram in the 2400 manual until I got the updated volume circuit for the 2400-2

  • Re: Beomaster 1900 Decal Lens

Hi Derek I have had to make some replacement sheets in the past and they do work very well. The photo below shows the damaged original from a Beomaster 2400 and a paper print of one that I drew up in AutoCad. Thereafter, all I had to do was print it out on to transparency paper and cut it to size. Everything fitted and works nicely. I think that this

  • Re: Beomaster 3000 type 2402 - " transformer hum" and radio?

Hi and welcome to BeoWorld. That is a nice looking receiver that you have. I have also experienced the “hum” problem on these old receivers but fortunately the levels have been relatively low so it hasn’t had a bad effect on the audio reproduction. On the worst of these, I resorted to fitting rubber padding (like rubber washers) at

  • Re: Beomaster 3000-2 - Volume slider

Yes, you can gather that I finally gave up trying to find one of those covers so I resorted to making one myself. It does the job and still looks OK on the unit. You never mentioned what is wrong with the slider for the volume control? Regards Geoff

  • Re: A Wonderful (New) Beogram 8002

Nice photos Laurence What have you done to the BM6000 to make the display numbering so bright? Have those displays been rebuilt or are they the originals? Regards Geoff

  • Re: Beomaster 3000-2 - Volume slider

Hi jd The best method for securing spare parts usually involves cannibalising a second unit which you will first have to find. Fortunately BM3000s are reasonably common and easy to get hold of but you might end up getting one that is better than the one you have. In your case, I have two comments: The volume control slider is normally repairable unless

Well done Laurence I know you have waited a long time for your system 8000 components but patience is a virtue and you will eventually get everything that you desire. Surely the Beomaster 8000 must be next!!! Regards Geoff
