  • Beomaster 6000 4ch

Hi The glasspanel (actually plastic) on the BM6000 4ch has some kind of coating to make it darker. On my unit this coating has started to come off. Does anybody know how to recoat this panel and with what. My first thought was the spray that boyracers use on their rear lights of the cars to make them darker. Any suggestions? /Fredrik

Here is a schematic drawing of what I have done to fix the hinges. My camera had trouble to shoot the details at a close distance - so I made a drawing of it to explain.

Hi Do you mean the small plastic insert that holds the heat dissipation grill to the aluminium lid? If you are - I did like this: I made a new insert from a steel sheet of 0.9mm thickness. I rounded it on a grinder and made the "conical" shape to fit in the grill. Then I bent it according to the shape of the original plastic part and welded

Hi I managed to glue the hinges back to position again. I also reinforced the hinges on the back part by filling the rectangular holes under the hinges with epoxy glue so the stress on the corners of those holes (it's in those corners the hinges cracked) were reduced by spreading it over a larger surface. It looks and works fine. I brought the spring

Hi David I've no experience of the 9500 system but on my beosystem 4500 the signal level on all inputs and tuner are equal. Btw the CDX player had quite a high output level I think in the range of 2v at 0db. My CD4500 have an output level of approx 1v at 0db. It's a 3db difference! Perhaps it's the same with your CD7000 and that's why

Hi Derek and Martin It is the hinges where the rod threads through that are broken on the plastic back part not on the lid or dustcover. They are broken just above the spring mechanism that holds the dustcover in upright position. I've asked b&o of sweden for replacement but they said that this part was obsolete. /Fredrik

Hi There are no adjustments for input sensitivity on the TP1/TP2 or phono inputs. But the output level from the FM tuner is adjustable inside BM6000. In my system the level of the FM tuner was higher than any other inputs so i had to adjust the output level of the FM tuner to match the rest of the inputs. /Fredrik

  • Re: Beogram 1200 Speed adjustment

Hi Alex! If I remember right there is a speed adjustment thumbwheel on the left side of the record player in the lower part of the chassis, no need to open. You can reach the belt by removing the turntable gently. /Fredrik
